This week was a pretty good week. It started off pretty slow but picked up towards the end.
Tuesday
we had a pretty awesome miracle. A guy that just moved to Luxembourg
from Italy came to the church and told us that his wife is a member and
that he wants to be sealed with her in the temple. We have started
teaching him, he is really humble and accepting and this week we are
going to invite him to be baptized.
We are also teaching another guy from Brazil who
just moved here to get married to one of the members in the ward. He is
very accepting and has been doing a great job at keeping his
commitments. They are working on their marriage papers, we gave them a
goal to be married by the end of the month so as soon as he is married
he will be baptized. It has been fun to teach him because we have been
forced to work with the members as our translators, which has helped us
to get to know the members more.
Yesterday was a pretty good day. ------- got
baptized. He is the youngest son of the family that we have been working
really hard with to reactivate. His Dad was able to baptize him and
right after a bunch of men in the ward and us were asked to join in on
the circle for the giving of the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is cool that
even though he is not counted as our baptism that we were able to help
the ward reactivate this family.
I can't believe it is already February. Time is
going by so fast and I am positive I will get transferred in two weeks
so that will just make things go by even faster.
Hope you all are doing great.
Elder Lerdahl
