Well this week was
pretty insane. We found out Monday that Elder N*** would be leaving to
go to Arras and that I would be staying in Rennes with a new comp. We
made all of the travel arrangements for everyone and then Tuesday we got
thrown a curve-ball. We went over to this non-member family's house
that we do service at for dinner and as we were leaving I got a phone
call from my assigned companion. He is one of the Chinese speaking
missionaries in Paris and had just found out that due to visa problems
for a new missionary that he would have to stay in Paris. I then was
informed by the mission President to hang out with other missionaries in
my district until I heard back from him. I spent a couple days with
them and then got a phone call telling me who my new comp would be and
what not. I am now with Elder R****. He is from Canada and was raised
speaking French and English. He came into the mission field the same day
and so we know each other well and have are having a blast together.
Friday we went to Paris for a leadership conference and after
rushed back to Rennes for a big ward activity. A member of the ward
plays in a Beatles tribute band and they did a big concert for the ward.
A bunch of the members brought friends and we had a few investigators
show up so it was great.
Other than that we have just been doing lots of finding
trying to get some new amis. This week we have a couple trainings to do
and I will have an exchange with Elder F*** from my MTC group so that
should be fun.
